Inari Briana Presents: The Art of Storytelling — A One-Light Mastery Workshop

One-Light Mastery for Intentional Portraiture

Lighting doesn’t need to be complicated to be powerful. This 3-4 hour workshop is designed to teach you how to create bold, emotive, storytelling-focused portraits using one simple lighting setup — the same approach I use for my own clean, dynamic work.

Rather than overwhelming you with gear, this workshop teaches you how to see light, how to shape it intentionally, and how to use it to support the story you’re trying to convey.

During this workshop, you will:

  • Learn the beauty and intentionality behind one-light setups

  • Understand how modifiers, V-flats, and negative fill shape a subject

  • Understand backdrop choices & colorways to see how they affect the narrative.

  • Watch a full build of Inari’s one-light setup from start to finish

  • Learn how storytelling influences lighting direction, posing, and tone

  • See how adding one extra light shifts mood without overcomplicating your scene

  • Work with professional models for diverse portfolio options

Hands-On Experience

Every attendee gets dedicated shooting time on the same setup Inari builds, with real-time critique and adjustments. You’ll leave with clean, intentional images you can confidently include in your portfolio.

If you want to understand light, not just use it…
If you want your portraits to feel like something…
If you want to learn a simple system that you can repeat every time with different results…
This workshop is for you.

We’ll explore how a single light, used with intention, can build mood, depth, and story. While the workshop centers on one-light mastery, you’ll also see how adding a single enhancement light can transform the atmosphere.
